My Top 5 Favorite Bookish YouTubers

Who are some of your favorites? Comment down below!

After watching booktube for over ten years, I've seen many come and go. Back in the day I use to watch JesseTheReader, Clockwork Reader, Katytastic, Sasha Alsberg, and many others that grew my curiosity for reading. They're probably the reason I collect books with the amount they had on their shelves. In present day, I have found new content creaters who share their love for books I watch on a regular basis. They give me the inspiration to one day post consistently my thought on reading and doing bookish challenges.

Here are the five I've been watching the past few years!

Jamie Fok

I found her randomly one day looking up different booktubers and I was drawn to her TBR takedown videos. I think her reviews in reading vlogs are well thought out. She does a really good job summarizing her thoughts without giving away important parts of the books she's reading. I see a lot of different books I don’t see on other channels or booktok so I know I can get recommendations out of my comfort zone or something I know I might like. Her channel is really cozy and easy to listen to with great aesthetics and fun editing choices. I recommend if you like a diverse palette, I recommend you give her a try.

Jolie McAdoo

Booktok was my first introduction to her. Between her rapid reading wrap ups and her book taste complementing mine, I immediately went to check if she had a channel and God answered my prayer. She is a Christian as well so I feel like I can trust her judgment even more. Some of the content she posts is “read with me” videos that I can put in the background while I read or doing homework to just have ambiance in the background. Her energy just brings me so much joy and I love watching her just vlog her life whether it's vlogging for a week, 24 hour readathons, book shopping vlogs, etc. She is also very open with her heath and wellness journey!

Haley Pham

Some may know her for by her “in my 20s dairies and she has been posting for a long time. She transitioned to more book style videos about 4 years ago becoming a full on booktoker with over 3.92 million subscribers as of writing this post. She has multiple channels and sometimes she does videos with her husband on his channel (Ryan Trahan). Recently they traveled across all 50 states in 50 days raising money for St. Jude. She has many reading vlog and recommendation videos but also a couple writing vlogs since she published her first novel a couple of weeks ago. I do win it and I can’t wait to read it soon. I love hearing her thoughts about her reads and we’re both Jesus lovers. I am very much a girly pop!

Faith Osler

This youtuber is one I’ve gotten into recently in the last 6 months and I’m so happy I found her. Faith is also a Christian who advocates for mental illness and therapy. Her channel is a mix of lifestyle and bookish things. She's another one who gives recommendations I've never heard before or very little of. Cozy and Whimsical reads are more her and thats something I want to read more of. Her reading/bookstore vlogs and challenges always feel so warm and homey. I love how shes Iintentionalabout trying to live life at a slower pace. I am so lucky to have found her content and I can't wait to watch her grow.

Ashlynn Calee

Last but certainly not least, this woman is one of my absolute favorite YouTubers of all time (probably my favorite booktuber). I am such a sucker when I get a notification that she posted a video. I literally wish I could be her friend because I want to just yap about Jesus and books with her. I love how open she is advocating for her autoimmune disease. I found her through Haley and I'm so grateful to all these booktubers being friends so I can find more amazing content. Her and her husband are a reader couple, he even has his own channel. I love watching husband and wife book-swap videos they do and she is inspiring me to read more classics and gothic fiction this year. Ashlunn also loves talking about her love for Steven king books and I hope to read some in the future. She is genuely a breath of fresh air and I couldn't recommend her enough.
